If you're here, you've somehow stumbled across The Burrow - our new hobby store catering to everything tabletop; TCG's, RPG's, Board Games, and Miniatures games.
We're brand new. Like, really new. We're still getting everything setup, but you're welcome to have a browse around - we've got some early products up on the shelf for you to pickup (as long as you're into Star Wars, anyway), and we're adding more as we get it in.
If you're here by accident, you might be wondering what The Burrow actually is, or what we're about - I'd love to tell you.
What is The Burrow
The Burrow is a new family-owned store who love the tabletop hobby, and want to build something in Melbourne, Australia that truly elevates the hobby experience. We've got big dreams of opening a store like none other in Melbourne; one built on the fundamental belief that everyone is welcome in our hobby, and that these hobbies that we love can be a force for positivity and change.
That's going to take some time, though!
Today, The Burrow is an online store focusing on the parts of tabletop hobbies we love. This store will allow us to build vendor relationships and begin growing our customer base before opening our retail store in the near future. We're actively working on that - we might be looking at a vacant lot right now! But until that happens, we want to start serving our community by providing products direct to you.
Why shop with us?
There's no shortage of online stores to choose from in Melbourne - and we love those stores. We're deeply entrenched in the hobby, and you'll find us at our local Guf or Gaming Arena regularly.
Although much of what we want to do involved a physical space, we still think we can make a big difference when it comes to your online shopping experience. At the moment, you're often forced to choose between supporting your Friendly Local Game Store, or purchasing through large online retailers.
Your FLGS will provide you fantastic recommendations, and help order in the product you need, but won't always have a diverse collection or know enough about everything they have to offer.
Online stores, on the other hand, have a breadth of product at great prices, but purchasing from those retailers is often an impersonal, anonymous experience. Not only that, but if you're like us, you often feel the pull to support your local businesses, even if it comes at a slightly higher price.
We've built our online store to be a highly curated, personal experience - at least, as much as we possibly can. We don't list anything on our store that we don't have solid knowledge about, and where possible, we've hand-written recommendations about what products we think are the top-picks. You'll see those recommendations live already on some of our Star Wars: Legion stock.
As time goes on, we'll find more ways to give you a great experience. For example; specialised bundles catered towards new players, custom tokens for veterans looking for something unique, and niche products from independent and small creators to enhance and personalise your experience are all things on our roadmap.
If we've got what you're looking for, and at a price you think is reasonable, then we hope you'll support us getting our small business off the ground.
What's up with all the Star Wars? What else will you stock?
We've begun our store by stocking up on Star Wars: Legion and Star Wars: Shatterpoint, because frankly, that's what we're into! We're currently looking into a number of additional product ranges - most obviously, we're planning to bring in TCG's to the store as soon as possible, and of course our beloved Board Games.

As for what's next - we want to focus on product lines that aren't readily available in our area, or products that we're highly passionate about. It's hard to be specific as we're still figuring out wholesale accounts and finding stock, but we'll have more updates as soon as possible!
Of course, we'll also look at getting in all the regular product lines you'd expect from a hobby store; Pokemon, Warhammer, Paints, Deck Boxes, and so on - but it's going to take some time.
How do I support you?
Today, the biggest thing you can do is sign up to our mailing list - you'll find the link at the bottom of every page. This allows us to let you know when we've got new stock in, and keep you up to date on how our online store (and eventually, our retail store) is progressing!
The other thing you can do? Support your local FLGS. We're firm believes that a rising tide raises all ships, and your local stores rely on your support to stay afloat. The next time you spy something cheap on Amazon or at Big W, consider supporting your local store instead - they'll appreciate it (and if they don't, there's probably another store near you who will).
